Embark on a unique journey to unlock your artistic potential and craft a personalized masterpiece. Priced at $375, this two-day experience opens the door to a world where art seamlessly intertwines with woodworking. Gain skills that extend beyond the classroom—many of our participants leverage their newfound talents to create and sell stunning handmade items.
During this class you will learn the proper methods and techniques to create a cutting board, use epoxy, and learn how to properly use a sander! You will receive a mold that you can take home, a Wood Shop t-shirt, and get a one-time discount to use to purchase products for you to take home! This is a great class for beginners or those who want to freshen up their skills.
This is a two day class. Must be 18 or older to participate. A waiver of liability must be completed before participating. Class size is limited.
Friday September 26 - 6-8 p.m.
On the first day of our class, you'll embark on a creative journey like no other. Choose your canvas— walnut, maple, ash, or red flame. Guided by our seasoned instructors, you'll delve into the intricate process of preparing your board for an epoxy pour. Learn the art of cleaning, carving, and creating the perfect canvas for your masterpiece. Select your preferred color pigments for the epoxy, infusing your creation with a personalized touch. Witness the magic unfold as you pour the epoxy, capturing the essence of your artistic vision.
Sunday September 28 - 2-4p.m.
Return on the second day to witness the transformation of your creation. Dive into the world of woodworking refinement, running your creation through the drum sander to eliminate any imperfections.
Learn the art of craftsmanship as you fill any cracks or holes that may have appeared during the surfacing process. Under the guidance of our experts, master the techniques of sanding and finishing using your choice of finishing, leaving your creation with a lustrous, professional touch. At the end of the class, take home not just a board but a piece of your own craftsmanship—a testament to the skills you've acquired and the memories you've made.
Price is $375 for cutting board or $425 to make a couch table.
